USKA Executive Committee members at a community meeting with the Uganda flag

Following our recent Town Hall meeting, we are writing to officially inform you of an important leadership transition within the Executive Committee and to reflect on the remarkable progress we have made together as an association.

After a period of highly dedicated and impactful service, Dr. Kirabo Joshua has stepped down from his position as President. We wish to extend our deepest and most sincere gratitude to Joshua for his tenure.

When this administration assumed office just four months ago in February, we were faced with the formidable challenge of starting with a balance sheet of zero. Despite this initial hurdle, Joshua’s leadership, coupled with the unwavering dedication of our community, propelled us to achieve extraordinary milestones in record time. Over the last four months, we have successfully executed three regional outreach tours to bridge the distances between our members across South Korea, and we have brought our community together through major sports events, most notably our participation in KAFCON. We thank Joshua for laying such a strong operational foundation and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.

To ensure the seamless continuity of our association’s strategic initiatives and to maintain this incredible momentum, the Executive Committee is pleased to announce that our Vice President, Mr. Kyamanywa Hamza, has officially assumed the role of Acting President, effective immediately.

Hamza has been an integral pillar of the executive team and a driving force behind our recent community successes. His extensive experience, deep understanding of our community’s needs, and firsthand involvement in our recent regional and sporting initiatives make him exceptionally well-prepared to guide us forward.

We want to reassure all members that this transition is an administrative step forward, and the stability of our association remains our highest priority. The Executive Committee is fully operational and united. All community welfare programs, consular engagements, regional mobilization efforts, and planned social events will continue exactly as scheduled without any interruption.

As we enter this new chapter, we kindly ask for your continued support, cooperation, and active participation. Our association draws its true strength from the collective spirit of its members, and together, we will continue to build a vibrant, supportive, and empowering environment for all Ugandans residing in South Korea.

Should you have any questions, require community assistance, or wish to volunteer for upcoming initiatives, please feel free to reach out to the Executive Committee through our official channels.

Thank you for your continued commitment to our community.

For God and My Country.

Sincerely,

Executive Committee — Ugandans In South Korea Association
